Turning Data Into Action
CPI provides schools with customized, user-friendly MCAS data reports specifically designed for each participating teacher and administrator. The reports can be combined with professional development to maximize the effective use of the data by educators. By customizing our work to the school's specific needs, we empower administrators and teachers to turn data into action.

We offer a variety of MCAS Data packages to meet the needs of each school. For more information on how your school can join this program, download our brochure.

Partnership for Online Professional Development
Under a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Education, Community Partners Initiative will collaborate with Community Day Charter Public School to develop and implement an online course.  The course, called Building a Number Sense Toolkit: Using Data to Understand, Teach, and Assess Number Sense Standards, will focus on understanding what the MCF Number Sense mean, planning effective ways to teach the standards, and accurately gauging whether their students have mastered them.  In addition, the project will include a facilitation training component, which will prepare teachers who participate in the course to implement online courses on various topics.

Check back in August to learn how you can participate in this free course!

"Thank you for making MCAS somewhat more fun!"

"This information is extremely helpful and user-friendly!"

"This was so excellent to have time to really process (with your expert guidance) all this information and think about instruction."

Project for After-School Learning (in development)
CPI's Project for After-School Learning (PAL) is a hands-on, standards-based after-school curriculum designed to improve students' academic achievement through experiences not typically offered in the classroom. We believe that when students engage in projects that require them to apply critical knowledge and skills in new ways, within an environment that captures their interest, their academic performance will benefit.  The program is currently in pilot phase; check back for updates about results and availability.

MA Charter Public School Association
CPI contracts with the MA Charter Public School Association to do research and analysis of charter school performance.  For more information about our research or about the Association, visit the MCPSA website.  Click HERE to read a recent news article about our work with MCPSA.
